When Amy’s parents came to town for her wedding to Sheldon, it was clear Mrs. Fowler’s domineering attitude extended to her husband, Larry, who was rarely able to squeeze a word in. Mrs. Fowler mentioned that she didn’t allow Amy to be in school plays as a child because actors only do drugs and have intercourse. She than reacted with horror at Amy starring in online videos as she knows what “men use those for”. Keith Carradine might not have the most appearances on The Big Bang Theory, but he plays an important role. His time on the show may have been sparse, but the scenes he was in were definitely memorable. When it comes to relationships, things seem to have gone a bit better for Rue in real life.

Sheldon calls her a special lady, but since she didn’t complete the challenge on time Sheldon shuts the door in her face much to the shock and disbelief of Raj and Howard. Sheldon explains that not only was she late, but she found atomic spectroscopy boring. Amy has a formal date which Penny and Bernadette and a reluctant Leonard, secretly spy on.Sheldon has Howard and Raj help him find a new girlfriend since they originally found Amy for him.

Penny assures her that all of her comfort zones are covered. Amy says that there are many people who would consider the brain the sexiest organ. Penny tells her that nobody ever bought her a drink at a bar because her brain popped out of her shirt. They continue to press Amy for details about her upcoming date. The guy is British, named David Gibbs and they are going that night to an Italian restaurant.
Amy enjoyed the nurturing side of Sheldon so much that she pretended to still be sick after she had recovered so he would continue looking after her. When Sheldon figured out Amy’s deception, he decided he had to punish her. After their first date, Amy and Sheldon texted each other for a few months. At the insistence of Penny, Sheldon and Amy went out on a proper date. Throughout this early stage of their relationship, Sheldon categorized her as a “a girl who is my friend but is not my girlfriend”. Soon after, Amy began to hang out with the group and come to value her friendship with Penny, who she considers her “bestie”.
In “The Earworm Reverberation”, Dave is invited by Amy to have dinner in her apartment. They discuss the apartment, leading Amy to reveal she may move out now. Dave attempts not to mention Sheldon, but soon asks “Where did you get that train?”, which obviously belonged to Sheldon. After Dave steals a kiss, Amy is a bit flustered, but agrees that they are on a date and should make out. Sheldon realizes that they are on a date though still tells him how he feels.
When he hears the girls will be bad-mouthing Priya on their girls’ night out, he joins the ladies for a night of drinking and dancing. When Amy first visited the comic book store, she met the owner Stuart. He later asked Leonard if Sheldon was dating Amy https://datingrated.com/ or if she was open to dating him. As Sheldon considered his feelings for Amy, she and Stuart went out on a date. Sheldon interrupted their date to ask Amy to be his girlfriend. Penny argued that it’s Amy’s wedding and all that matters is what she likes.
Meanwhile, Howard is angered by Stuart’s choice of guest for the prom. Her character is Dr. Amy Fowler, and she is Sheldon Cooper’s long suffering love interest. It took forever, but the two eventually married before the end of the series. Seeing them move in together, get married, and start a life together was incredibly heartwarming, and while their relationship wouldn’t suit many people , it was perfect for Shamy.
Their long working hours strained their relationships with Sheldon, Bernadette and Raj. Amy and Leonard did not get on at first, with Leonard finding her judgemental and obnoxious like Sheldon. Leonard slowly warmed to Amy, though they rarely hang out alone. Leonard found it odd when Amy stayed late at the apartment, even after Sheldon had left, oblivious to the fact Leonard would have preferred to be alone. Amy invited Leonard as her date to a wedding she was about to attend, explaining that Sheldon was a terrible guest at a previous wedding because there were no physicists his age there. When Leonard stayed with Amy and Bernadette at a bar after they had lied to Sheldon and Penny, Leonard wondered why he and Amy didn’t hang out together more often.
After they met at a coffee house, Amy admitted she only met up with him because she has an agreement with her mother to date once a year. Amy told Sheldon that all forms of physical contact, up to and including coitus, were off the table. When Sheldon offered to buy her a beverage, Amy asked for a tepid water.
During his stay, Amy invited Sheldon to have dinner with her new colleagues. After Amy was offered a summer research fellowship at Princeton University in New Jersey, she was unsure if she could leave Sheldon for three months. Penny urged Amy to grab the opportunity, so Amy told Sheldon her news. Sheldon congratulated Amy on her job and insisted she must take it, but an upset Sheldon then retreated to his bedroom. Amy’s friends told her that if the situation were reversed, Sheldon would not pass on the opportunity. Before Sheldon and Amy moved in together, Penny and Leonard each offered them advice for living with one’s partner.
Meanwhile, Wolowitz and Koothrappali conspire to find Sheldon’s perfect match online. After Penny and Bernadette returned to the apartment with a drunk Amy, they watched a movie as she slept off the alcohol. When Amy woke up and was disappointed that she passed out at her own party, Penny and Bernadette convinced her she had a wild evening. After Amy accepted Sheldon’s proposal, she invited Sheldon stay to Princeton with her for a few days.
